  • 26.40 crore rupees released for installing CCTV cameras

The Punjab government has decided to install CCTV cameras in schools to ensure the safety of students studying in government schools of the state.

Giving information in this regard, Minister of School Education of Punjab Mr. Harjot Singh Bains said that CCTV will be installed in 15584 government schools of Punjab. An amount of Rs 26.40 crore has been released for installing cameras.

He said that with this decision of  government, CCTV has been installed in 80 percent of the schools in the state.

He said that if there is CCTV facility in the school.   The safety of students will be ensured, thefts from schools will also be stopped.

Bains said that apart from starting the School of Eminence to provide international level education to the students, the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has also sent the principals to Singapore for training.
