Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has given a big statement about the promotions of teachers. The Education Minister said that very soon the stalled promotions of all categories will be done along with allotment of stations to Master Cadre teachers.
Along with this, the education minister said that the target of Bhagwant Mann government is to make the state the leading state of the country in the field of education.
Bains said that the government is trying to bring revolutionary changes in the education sector, in which along with the beautification of the school buildings, plans have also been made to improve the quality of education. On the other hand, Amandeep Sharma, the state president of the Chief Teachers Association of Punjab, said that teachers have been waiting for the promotion of master cadre from primary for a long time. However, the department is repeatedly saying that promotions should be done soon, but the issue is standing from where it started.
He said that the scrutiny of teacher promotions was started in 2021, but it has not been completed till date. Addressing the organization, Jasvir Singh Hoshiarpur said that the cases pending in the court should be resolved and the teachers should be promoted.
The Chief Teachers Association Punjab has demanded that if the promotions of various subjects of the Master Cadre are not done soon, then the organization will march towards the house of the Education Minister.
