Bathinda: The education department has severely reprimanded the teachers taking leave, do this before taking leave. The Education Department has issued new instructions for applying online leave taken by teachers. DEO Bathinda issued a letter to all the school heads and wrote that some time ago, the education secretary issued instructions to all the officials and employees of the education department to apply for all types of leave online.

But many official employees do not apply leave online through e-Punjab portal, IHRMS before taking leave. The Education Department has taken serious note of this in strict terms and has said that in future, no installment leave of any official employee shall be allowed without applying online. In case of negligence in this regard, action will be taken against the concerned employee school head.
