- Ordered the Chief Secretary to submit a report within three months
With the aim of implementing Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s idea of not taking non-educational work from teachers of government schools in the state, Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of Punjab and directed that the state government that Non-educational work should not be taken from teachers to prevent loss of education of students working in schools.
In a letter to the Chief Secretary, School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the government schools of the state are committed to provide quality and standard education to the students. Therefore, it is important that teachers remain available in schools and that no extra work is taken from them other than teaching the children.
Bains asked the Chief Secretary to form a committee of the Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, Principal Secretary School Education, and Principal Secretary Administrative Reforms (GR) under his chairmanship to consider not taking any additional work from the teacher except teaching the students. Prepare a policy through discussion and submit your report in three months.
Bains said that if non-educational duties are stopped . It will be a historic decision for Punjab, which will greatly benefit the school education of the state.
