Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal and chief Jathedar of Patna Sahib Avtar Singh Hit has passed away.

Avtar Singh Hit breathed his last in Delhi. It is being told that he died suddenly due to a heart attack.

He was talking on the phone at his home when he suffered a heart attack, after which he died.

Avtar Singh Hit was one of the senior leaders of Akali Dal.

Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Harjinder Singh Dhami have expressed their grief over the death of Jathedar Avtar Singh Hit.
