Bank Holidays: Banks will be closed for these 16 days in the month of October,
RBI, the central bank of the country, has released the list of bank holidays for the month of October.
In the month of October, banks will not be closed for one or two days, but for a total of 16 days. These include weekends.
In October, banks will remain closed for 16 days in different parts of the country due to Gandhi Jayanti, Mahalya, Kati Bihu, Durga Puja, Navratri, Dussehra, Lakshmi Puja, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti.
These 16-day holidays including all four Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays. In total, banks will be closed for 6 days due to weekly holidays and 10 days due to festivals in October.

2 October 2023 (Monday)- Gandhi Jayanti
14 October 2023 (Saturday) – Banks will remain closed in Mahalaya-Kolkata.
18 October 2023 (Wednesday) – Kati Bihu – Banks will remain closed in Assam.
21 October 2023 (Saturday) – Durga Puja (Maha Saptami) – Bank closures in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam and Manipur.
23 October 2023 (Monday) – Mahanavami, Ayuddha Puja, Durga Puja – Banks will remain closed in Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Tripura, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
24 October 2023 (Tuesday) – Dussehra i.e. Vijayadashami, Durga Puja – Banks will remain closed in all states except Andhra Pradesh, Manipur.
25 October 2023 (Wednesday) – Durga Puja (Dasain) – Banks will remain closed in Sikkim.
26 October 2023 (Thursday) – Durga Puja (Dasain) / Merger Day – Bank closure in Jammu and Kashmir and Sikkim.
27 October 2023 (Friday) – Durga Puja (Dasain) – Banks will remain closed in Sikkim.
28 October 2023 (Saturday) – Lakshmi Puja – Banks are going to remain closed in West Bengal.
31 October 2023 (Tuesday) – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti – Banks will remain closed in Gujarat.
