Taking an important decision to facilitate the citizens of the state by digitizing the functioning of the revenue department, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today launched a website to streamline the process of registering Khanagi Taksim (land property distribution).
Launching the website https://eservices.punjab.gov.in, the Chief Minister described it as a revolutionary decision for the convenience of the residents of the state, which will further streamline the process of registering private tax. He said that through this website, people’s applications for Khangi Taksim can be easily submitted through one click. Bhagwant Mann said that citizens can apply on this website by submitting their name, father/husband name, village name, sub-tehsil/tehsil, district, account and Khewat number details.
The Chief Minister said that the applicant will also have to submit a memorandum of proposed distribution signed by all stakeholders of the land and a field map showing the distribution of the land. Bhagwant Mann said that after taking action by the concerned circle revenue officer, these online applications will be sent to the law in-charge and then to the concerned patwari. He said that after verifying all the facts of the memorandum with the revenue record, the Patwari will call the parties concerned to appear personally for the proceedings and record the transfer.
The Chief Minister said that after registering the transfer, the concerned Patwari will submit it to the Kanungo for verification and then submit it to the concerned CRO (Assistant Collector Grade-II) for final orders. Bhagwant Mann said that after verifying the transfer, a summary order will be entered on the portal for each application.
He said that this citizen-centric initiative would prove to be instrumental in simplifying the delimitation process and resolve disputes amicably. Bhagwant Mann further said that this process will help in smooth sale and purchase of land apart from getting compensation for crop loss and getting copy of deposit easily.
