The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann is taking concrete steps against the increasing cases of dengue
Following the guidelines of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Minister of Health and Family Welfare Chetan Singh Jodamajra has instructed all the civil surgeons to make people aware about the prevention of dengue and to take steps together.
Health Minister asked civil surgeons to organize special dengue wards, intensify fogging activities in rural and urban areas and increase the number of personnel for larval screening. He said that the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has taken concrete steps against the increasing cases of dengue.
He said that the number of dengue cases in this year are less than as compared to last year, but still there should be no laxity in the efforts being made to prevent dengue. The Health Minister said that the Punjab Government is making all possible efforts to control dengue and provide a safe environment to its citizens.
The Health Minister urged people to keep their homes and surroundings clean to prevent the spread of dengue virus. He further told that the health department is making concerted efforts with other related departments like school education, rural development, local government department to control the dengue virus.
The Cabinet Minister added that despite of the progress in the field of medical science, dengue fever has become a global and regional problem which is a matter of concern for all. He further said that awareness is most important to control this disease.
He asked the concerned parties to continue their efforts against dengue and emphasized the need for media to spread awareness about dengue continuously. He appealed to the youth to play their role in this campaign through social media because the population of youth is high and they can contribute significantly to this campaign.
Jodamajra appealed to the people to fight against dengue and assured that the district administration and the department are taking war level steps for the success of the campaign to control dengue
