Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said today that due to the personal interests of wealthy political families, the state has lagged behind in terms of development and employment opportunities have been lost from our youth.

The Chief Minister in his speech on the occasion of handing over the appointment letters to the newly recruited youth in the departments of water supply and sanitation, health and family welfare and medical education and research at the Municipal Bhavan here today said that these political families have destroyed the future of our youth for their personal interests. destroyed He said that these families did not hesitate to stake the interests of the state for their personal benefits. Bhagwant Mann said that these families have betrayed Punjab and our youth due to which they had to find a way out.

The Chief Minister further said that the Punjab government is committed to restoring the ancient glory of the state. The Chief Minister emphasized that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for him that Tata Group is setting up a major project near Ludhiana in the state with an investment of Rs 2600 crore. He further said that big investment is being made by Tata Steel after Jamshedpur. He further said that more industrial projects are also being set up in the state in the coming days.

The Chief Minister said, “Due to the favorable environment of Punjab, big companies are investing and now an MoU has been signed directly with Punjab to set up projects. While earlier investors were forced to sign MoUs with the ruling political families due to which investors turned their backs on Punjab.” Bhagwant Mann said that the earlier rulers used to ask them about the benefits that these families would get from such projects, but now we ask about the jobs that the youth will get from these projects.

The Chief Minister further said that the Aam Aadmi government had taken the first decision in the state to start the recruitment process for the youth. He said that the state government is now making efforts to streamline the functioning of each department so that people do not face any kind of trouble. Bhagwant Mann further said that this can only be possible if the vacancies are filled on priority basis.


Patronizing these candidates, the Chief Minister urged them to serve the people while performing their duties in their respective positions. The Chief Minister asked these youths to perform their duties honestly so that the people get maximum benefit. Bhagwant Mann said that his government has done things in a few months, which have not been done in the last 75 years and our government will continue to do so in the future.
