7th Pay Commission DA Hike Update:

More than 65 lakh central government employees are waiting for dearness allowance hike from July. It is being claimed in the media report that on September 28 i.e. the third Navratri, the government may announce a 4 percent increase in it. But even before this, the government employees have received a shock. The government has decided to change the minimum service conditions for promotion as per the 7th Pay Commission.

Decision to change the minimum service conditions .Office memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on September 20 said that it has been decided to change the minimum service conditions for promotion. This change will be done on the basis of the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. It was hoped by the DOPT that the necessary changes for promotion could be incorporated in the Recruitment Rules/Service Rules by making suitable amendments.

Therefore, all the Ministries/Departments were also requested to make necessary changes in the recruitment rules following the prescribed procedure. Under the revised rules, three years of service is required for Level 1 and Level 2. Also, 12 years of service is required for level 6 to level 11. Let us tell you that the DA of central employees was increased in March 2022 under the Seventh Pay Commission. At that time, the government increased it by 3 percent, from 31 percent to 34 percent. At that time, the employees were given three months’ arrears by the government. Now the dearness allowance of the employees is going to increase from July. A 4 percent increase is likely to be announced on September 28.
