The Punjab government has issued strict orders to senior officers of all departments including vigilance

Punjab Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua has directed the Administrative Secretaries of all departments to deal with corruption cases in a timely manner.

During a meeting of senior officers of all departments and vigilance department in his office, the Chief Secretary said that there are clear and clear instructions from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that corruption is not tolerable and no leniency should be used against any bribe taker.

The Chief Secretary said that the state government is committed to provide a clean, transparent and corruption-free administration to the people of Punjab and for this purpose bribery from the top to the bottom should be stopped in all circumstances.

He said that in the departments where investigation of corruption cases is going on by vigilance or by the concerned department, it should be completed as per the rules and no delay or laxity will be tolerated in it. He clearly instructed that no accused should be spared at all.
Strict action should be taken against bribe takers as per law but no injustice should be done to any innocent person. On this occasion, he sought information and progress report about pending cases in various departments.

He directed all the high officials of the state that at any level, the common people should not face any difficulty in getting government services and the concerned departments should issue instructions to their respective staff.
