Anurag Thakur while giving information about the decision of the government said that the Union Cabinet has approved the minimum support price for all Rabi crops for the marketing season 2023-24. Under this, an absolute maximum increase of Rs 500 per quintal has been approved in the MSP of pulses (lentils). The cabinet has increased the MSP of mustard by Rs 400 per quintal. The central government has given a big Diwali gift to the farmers by deciding to increase the MSP. Let it be known that the Agricultural Cost and Price Commission had recommended a 9% increase in the MSP of all Rabi crops including wheat. The MSP of lentils has been increased from Rs 5500 to Rs 6000 per quintal. Apart from this, the MSP of wheat has been increased by Rs 110 per quintal. It has now increased by Rs 2015 to Rs 2125 per quintal.
