The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has taken a major decision in favor of prepaid mobile subscribers. TRAI on Monday directed all telecom companies to give mobile recharge validity of 30 days instead of 28 days.
Along with this, the telecom company will now have to bring a special voucher, Combo Voucher, with full month validity in its plan. TRAI had issued these instructions seven months ago but the telecom companies did not follow it. So TRAI has again given these instructions to all the telecom companies.
Let us tell you that the validity of the current plan of the telecom companies is 28 days, due to which the customers have to recharge 13 times a month in a year. After this decision of TRAI, it is believed that the number of recharges done by customers in a year will decrease. By doing this, customers will save money for an extra month’s recharge.

Plan to bring within 60 days
TRAI has issued a notification for telecom companies. As per this notification, all telecom service providers will have to bring at least one plan voucher, one special tariff voucher and one combo voucher with a validity of 30 days. Further, the companies have been asked to comply with the mandate of the rules within 60 days from the date of notification.
In the month of April, TRAI had issued instructions to the companies in this regard that they will have to bring at least one such tariff in the plan voucher and plan voucher renewal category, which will be valid for 30 days.
