Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal  directed to install biometric machines for attendance of employees in all the regional offices of the department in order to  provide citizen centric services. Cabinet Minister said that it has been observed that some employees are coming late in the field offices across Punjab, due to which people are facing problems.

He directed that biometric machines will be installed in all the field offices of the department by February 28, 2023 so that attendance on biometric machines can be ensured from March 1, 2023.

Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that many departments had started biometric attendance a few years ago.But it was closed due to the Covid pandemic. He further said that this attendance system has been restarted by many departments while other departments are adopting this system.

The cabinet minister said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to providing services to the people at their fingertips.Under which these steps have been taken to ensure timely attendance of employees. He said that the government will ensure that people do not face any difficulty in getting services.
