Following the orders of the Punjab Government, the Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Special Sarangal has directed the officials of the Revenue Department to ensure speedy disposal of the outstanding transfer cases and also pay special attention to the recovery cases so that the government treasury somehow to avoid the loss .
While reviewing the performance of the officials of the Revenue Department here today, he said that the cases of transfer, marking, distribution filed by the people should be resolved as soon as possible and especially the cases which are more than 6 months should be resolved on priority basis. .
Taking serious note of the delay in revenue collection in the recovery cases of the Revenue Department, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officials to speed up the efforts regarding revenue collection in various tehsils.
It is to be mentioned that 1.18 crores in Kapurthala tehsil, 33 lakhs in Phagwara, 15 lakhs in Sultanpur Lodhi and 48 lakhs in Bhulath are to be collected. The Deputy Commissioner asked the SDMs to personally monitor the revenue collection efforts.
He ordered strict action against voluntary defaulters and said that such persons should be entered in the land records. He also asked the officials to periodically scrutinize the records of the revenue department, so that more transparency and accountability can be established in the work.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Phagwara who also has the charge of Additional Deputy Commissioner Development, Dr. Nayan Jasal, SDM Sultanpur Lodhi Chandrajyoti, SDM Kapurthala Lal Vishwas Bains, Assistant Commissioner Upinderjit Kaur, Superintendent Revenue Satbir Singh. All Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars were present except Kanungo Gursharan Singh.
