Vigilance has registered a case against an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.

In another case of bribery, the Vigilance Bureau has registered a corruption case against ASI Gurmeet Singh posted at Police station , Ferozepur for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.

In this case, the complainant Jagsir Singh, a resident of village Korewala Kalan of Moga district, approached the Vigilance Bureau and alleged that the above Police officer against him.The police have taken 30,000 rupees as a bribe for not registering a case because a complaint has been filed at the police station by a woman against him .

The spokesperson further said that the complainant also alleged that ASI. Jagsir Singh, being the investigating officer in this case, has demanded another bribe of Rs. 20,000 to execute the mutual resignation in this case. About this he told A.S.I. The conversation regarding asking for bribe has been recorded as evidence.

After investigating the said complaint and the evidence received, the Vigilance Bureau has arrested the accused A.S.I. Vigilance has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Ferozepur police station and started further action.
