Cheema assured Mal Patwaris and Kanungo of quick resolution of their major issues

The Finance Minister held a meeting with the Mal Patwari and Kanungo Unions in the presence of the Revenue Minister

Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema assured the Patwaris and Kanungos of the Revenue Department that all their legitimate demands and issues would be resolved soon.

During a meeting with the representatives of Revenue Patwar Union and Revenue Kanungo Association in the presence of Revenue Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa at his office here, the Finance Minister sympathetically listened to their demands and issues.

Regarding the shortage of patwaris in the revenue department, the finance minister said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had started the recruitment drive from the first day and accordingly, 700 patwaris are being recruited in the revenue department soon.

He said that apart from this, the process will be started soon to fill all the vacant posts.

Discussing the issues of the Unions related to the Finance Department, Cheema said that their demands are being seriously considered and all the legitimate demands will be met soon as per the terms and conditions of the Finance Department.

He said that if necessary, another meeting with the unions will be called soon in this regard. In the meeting, K.A.P. Sinha, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Finance Commissioner, Revenue and Rehabilitation and Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, Secretary Finance were also present.
