Punjab Cabinet approves filling up of 1020 new posts
Among other important decisions in the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, with the aim of providing quality health services to the people and providing employment opportunities to the youth, the Cabinet Ministers inaugurated the new Sant Atar Singh State Institute of Medical at Mastuana Sahib in Sangrur district. 1020 posts for Sciences have been approved.
The Cabinet has given approval to create, fill and fix the pay scale of these posts in this under-construction medical college. Among these 1020 posts, there are 193 posts of faculty, 427 posts of para-medical staff and 400 more posts.
With the inception of this institution, it has MBBS. There will also be 100 seats in the course, due to which these posts have been created so that quality medical education can be provided to the youth.
This decision will fulfill the dual purpose of providing quality health facilities to the patients and providing opportunities to the youth in the field of medicine.
The posts of medical faculty in this institution will be filled on the basis of education, experience and other process approved by the National Medical Council. The recruitment of Para Medical Staff and Grade-IV posts will be filled as per existing rules of Health and Family Welfare Department and Punjab State (Class-IV) Service Rules-1963.
